Bar Under the Bridge is home to the best food and drink double-act since mince pies and mulled wine, as craft beer from The Hop Locker meets the original street food parmo from ParmStar.

Part of Southbank Centre's Wintertime Festival, it's the perfect place for a drink or some food before exploring the rest of the festive market.

The Hop Locker

Established in early 2015 at Southbank Centre Food Market, The Hop Locker has cemented its name in central London as a must-visit for great beer. Known for its rotating taps serving highly regarded local, national and international beers, they always go the extra mile to find something unique and special.

Voted ‘The Best Bar/Pub’ for Waterloo & Southwark in the 2016 Time Out Love London Awards, they’re back working with us again as part of Wintertime.

This time round it’s with an expanded tap range, focusing specially on sourcing beer from some well-known Nordic breweries and continuing to serve an ever-changing selection of delicious beer, wine, cider and soft drinks.

ParmStar is headed up by Teesider John Coulson and native Londoner Lisa Cheung and has been named as one of the top 10 street food traders in two cities in the north. They are coming to London exclusively in partnership with Southbank Centre.

Parmo is perfect beer food: fried chicken fillet, silky smooth béchamel sauce and melted cheese on top. Better still, ParmStar serve theirs, cheekily called 'The King of the North', in a freshly baked brioche bun with pickled slaw and an optional (but recommended) dollop of garlic mayonnaise on the side.

Alongside it, you are able to try a number of special fried chicken burgers, including ParmStar’s unique take on the New York parm sandwich, as well as some top-secret potato creations.
