Marine Life
The SEA LIFE London Aquarium is South Bank’s very own world-class aquatic centre.
With everything from a face-to-face encounter with sharks to Gentoo Penguins in an ice adventure, SEA LIFE London Aquarium is a great day out for school visits, a birthday outing or simply to enjoy exploring marine life.
Over 500 aquatic creatures reside at SEA LIFE with many either on the endangered list or have been rescued and cannot be released into the wild or have been born and bred as part of our conservation projects
Centrally located opposite Coca-Cola London Eye, the Aquarium counts Shrek's Adventure! London and The London Dungeon as neighbours ensuring that there's plenty to keep the family entertained from start to finish.

- Sharks have lived in our oceans for more than 420 million years. There are over 500 species of shark in our oceans, and SEA LIFE is proud to be coordinating the European Black Tip Reef Shark breeding programme.
- Gentoo Penguins are the fastest underwater swimming penguins in the world, reaching speeds of 22mph!
- The aquarium's partner charity is The SEA LIFE Trust, where they develop and support projects that protect marine wildlife and habitats across the world.
- You can come face to face with the amazing marine life during VIP experiences such as behind the scenes tours, becoming a Marine Biologist for the day, snorkeling with sharks and feeding turtles.
